AFTER JANUARY 20

This Coalition was born in a moment of historic change. When the Supreme Court appoints the American President, what time is it? Time for the People to raise a Counter Coup, to demonstrate their will to preserve their inviolable rights in a Democratic Society.

We have worked hard to bring this message to the center of Govenment in Los Angeels on January 20. We have done this with the intent not just to protest for a day, but to grow from our strength and unite for the hard work to come.

Please watch this site and the sites linked here for emerging leadership in this movement to take back our Government!

We have established Committees which are holding meetings and establishing a network for Democratic Rights to continue this historc beginning.

FAIRNESS IN DEMOCRACY
Rev. Jesse L. Jackson

The crisis in Florida, the collapse of the electoral infrastructure, has brought us to the brink, to the river's edge. This battle is not about the presidency; it is about the sanctity of the individual's vote, about the integrity and credibility of our democracy. It is about the one-big-tent-America. Under that big tent, there are five promises that we hold dear: Equal protection under the law; Equal opportunity; Equal access; Fair share; and Commitment to "the least of these." This crisis is not so much about Democrats as about democracy; not so much about Republicans as about the republic.
