Not In My Name (people speak against war) | Volunteer | Further Reading | actiona.org

Teach-Ins are being organized to facilitate the education that must be a part of a Democratic Society's decision-making process. Too often in the past, War has been unleashed before the Public has had access to facts that have been seen in hindsight to have been critically important. Many times, this has not been because these facts were unknown, but because they have been unavailable to the Public through major media channels.

The Coalition For World Peace will be announcing Teach-Ins as they are organized in the Los Angeles area to ensure that we are not led into making these same deadly mistakes again.

Sunday, September 30
5:00-7:00 PM

"Throughout America's History, we have waged war in a seemingly endless cycle. John Lennon asked us to imagine a world without war. Is this the time for that imagination to unfold?

Last Night I Had the Strangest Dream

Last night I had the strangest dream I never had before,
I dreamed that we had all agreed To put an end to war.

I dreamed I saw a mighty room
And the room was filled with them
And the paper they were signing said
They'd never fight again.

And when the paper was all signed
And a million copies made
They all joined hands and bowed their heads
And grateful prayers were said.

And the people in the streets below
Were dancing round and round
And swords and guns and uniforms
Were scattered on the ground.

(Repeat 1st verse)
